Years of experience have taught us that the key to happy relationships with our customers is clear and regular communication.
We work to a stringent customer charter, so our homeowners know exactly what to expect from our team throughout the duration of their project – and, crucially, how much everything is going to cost!
Step 1: Project Planning
Firstly, we will meet with you onsite to discuss your ideas for the space. This will enable us to forma clear picture of what you want to achieve, and how much you want to spend.
We can then develop ideas and explore all the available options to help you create a bespoke plan of action. Where possible, we will discuss viable alternatives and practical solutions to any challenges or budgetary constraints.
Step 2: Providing Prices
Wherever we can, we will provide quotations rather than estimates. This is not always possible, especially where there is a long delay to starting work (as has been the case recently given the volatility of buildings material prices globally). If this happens, we will identify individual estimated items within the overall quotation.
Once the work starts, and we are in a position to do so, we will either confirm the estimated price, or provide an amended written quote with a revised price.
It’s not unusual for ideas to develop as the project evolves. If you want to make any changes to your works, we will adapt our plan and quote reflecting any changes you request along the way. The key thing is, you will never be asked to pay a final bill that is more than the last written price we provided.
Step 3: Working to Clear Timeframes
At the outset, we will provide you with an estimated start date, and let you know how long your project is expected to take. We will let you know what the variables are and how these may impact on the delivery of the works.
Once the project has begun, we will keep you informed of any issues, and any changes to the plan. In the vast majority of instances, unless there are unforeseen challenges with the availability of materials, our projects complete within the original time frame.
Step 4: Arranging Payment
For larger projects, we will require stage payments; usually, one quarter on acceptance of our quote, and up to three further payments at stages to be agreed according to the size and nature of the project.
At each stage, we will review everything to date and ask you to sign off at each stage before invoicing you for the stage payment and progressing to the next stage.
Step 5: Enjoy!
Once the project has been signed off, and all payments have been completed, we will tidy up the site and arrange for the removal or disposal of any waste. From there, you will be free to enjoy your brand new space – and start dreaming about what part of your home you’re going to renovate next!
Be sure to speak to us if you require our ongoing maintenance services or if you would like to discuss future works in more detail. We’re always here to help.
